For the past year everyone irrespective of background, race, gender and sexuality sat in endless isolation as time went by the details of the spaces we inhabited became more profound. The ceiling skirting catching the afternoon light. The frills on the lampshade bouncing when the door closed. The ticking clock slowly lowering its gold chain. We all turned to music. Dancing alone in our homes with headphones on. Closing our eyes and imagining gardens and people and drinks, our rooms became the new dance floor and we were living amongst it. Swinging between the real space of out rooms and the surreal space of our imagination. As we leave our solitude and celebrate human interaction and togetherness, the shack serves as a homage to the surreal and the spaces in which we created joy through our imagination.
