"Synapse Body" is a sculpture that blends the modern technique of 3D printing with the timeless materials of ceramic and steel. Set on a base of charred timber, the design is inspired by the shapes and connections of a synapse. Instead of focusing solely on manipulating surfaces, this piece plays with depth, volume, and lines, offering an organic, floral-like appearance. It was created as part of an ongoing investigation into the potential of post-tensioned ceramics.
