The culmination of five years of education at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. In order to speculate on architectural space created with post-tensioned 3D Printed ceramic systems, a writers cabin on a forested hill was designed. A base made from CNC cut plywood and 3D printed PLA provides a connection point for the internal tensioning system which runs through the stem and to four points in the floorplate. This adaptive system allows for fine tuning the floorplate levelling and combines the tensile properties of steel cable with the compressive properties of ceramic to make a balanced structural system.
