Collaborating with Loukis Menealou and Nicholas Collee during the challenges of COVID, we put forward an innovative proposal for the Broadmarsh Centre, situated in Nottingham's vibrant heart. As the destiny of this iconic location hung in balance, we envisaged a dynamic blend of residential and commercial spaces nestled within striking timber structures. These edifices gracefully cantilevered over lush public parks, paving the way to the envisioned Nottingham City Museum and a lively performance stage. Even though our design wasn't the chosen one, it sparked significant conversations throughout Nottingham, propelling the discourse about Broadmarsh's potential future. Now, the renowned Heatherwick Architects have taken the reins, and we are honored to know our conceptual scheme served as a point of reference for them.
